# 0. global rules
the following apply to the canvas of [/...world](https://owot.me/...world) and the shared chat and canvas of [/...network](https://owot.me/...network)
## 0.1. code of conduct
1. you MUST act with respect towards all users of the ...network
    1. you MUST NOT \[threaten a user with or promote\] violence or other actions intended to cause severe harm
	2. 0.1.1.1 does not apply if the content would reasonably be taken as a joke
2. you MUST NOT attempt to impersonate a user
    1. this does not include satirisation of a user via imitation, however you MUST indicate clearly that you are not the original user
3. you MUST NOT promote or normalise self-harm, pedophilia, or zoophilia
4. you MUST NOT promote or engage in financial scams or fraud
5. you MUST NOT link personally identifying information to a user if they intend to keep the information private, such as:
    1. area of residence, when specified more precisely than country
    2. legal name
    3. date of birth or age, when specified more precisely than 1 year
    4. place of birth, when specified more precisely than country
6. violations of 0.1.3~5 MUST be handled by deletion as soon as possible, unless not engaging risks severe bodily harm or abuse
7. a user SHOULD be excluded if deemed insufficiently mature by a Moderator's discretion  
	a. as a rule of thumb, if you're quite less mature than qwas (at 2026-04-13), you're out

# 1. the chat
the following apply to the shared chat of ...network
## 1.1. spam
1. you MUST NOT send repeated redundant or meaningless text
2. every bot MUST use the 'bot' tag with the exception of:
	1. a bot that bridges chatrooms, for example the OWOT Goatway (discor)  
	a. bots that fall under 1.1.2.1 may be required to use the 'bridge' tag in the future.
	2. bots that are force untagged from 'bot'; see T-type limits in [/...network/limits](https://owot.me/limits)
## 1.2. prohibited content
1. you MUST NOT send or link to depictions of graphic violence
2. you MUST NOT send or link to sexually explicit/suggestive content
	1. for text, this does not apply to undetailed descriptions of sexual acts/emotion
	2. such descriptions SHOULD be as infrequent as possible and MUST be tagged with the 'nsfw' tag
3. discussion of sexual topics MUST be tagged with the 'nsfw' tag
	1. preteens (users under 13 years of age) MUST blacklist the 'nsfw' tag

# 2. the canvas
the following apply to the canvas of /...world and the canvas of /...network
## 2.0. dictionary
1. *within n tiles of spawn* means within any tile where (tileX+.5)² + (tileY-.5)² ≤ n²
2. *road* means a linear structure that spans 128 tiles or more measured at its widest and 4 tiles or less measured at its thinnest
## 2.1. griefing
1. you MUST NOT overwrite with redundant or meaningless text:
    1. artwork
    2. meaningful and nonredundant text
    3. tiles within |tileX \* tileY| ≤ 32
    4. roads not within 2.1.1.3
2. violations of 2.1.1 SHOULD be reverted as soon as possible if the revert does not break 2.1.1
3. 2.1.1 does not apply within the purge limits during a purge
4. 2.1.1.1~2 do not apply if the overwritten content violates other rules
## 2.2. regenerating structures
1. a Regenerating Structure is a collection of characters that are regenerated completely in the span of at most 24 hours
2. you MUST NOT reinforce a Regenerating Structure within 128 tiles of spawn if its contents do not change
3. you MUST NOT reinforce a Regenerating Structure that covers more than 25 tiles and is within 32 tiles of spawn
4. Regenerating Structures not under 2.2.2~3 are allowed under a Moderator's discretion
5. violations of 2.2.2~4 SHOULD be handled by protecting the area of the structure
## 2.3. prohibited content
1. you MUST NOT depict graphic violence
2. you MUST NOT write or link to sexually explicit/suggestive content
	1. for text, this does not apply to undetailed descriptions of sexual acts/emotion
	2. such descriptions SHOULD be as infrequent as possible
	3. such descriptions MUST NOT stay where preteens are reasonably able to find them; see 2.3.3
3. discussion of sexual topics MUST NOT be held where preteens are reasonably able to find them, by means such as:
	1. exploring the canvas surrounding a landmark
	2. disclosing the location publicly in a chat or canvas which preteens are intended to access (for nonexample NSFW marked worlds)
	3. disclosing the location to a preteen directly
